Roswell Bicycles - Sunday Shop Ride

Sunday, February 25, 2018 9:00 am
Every Week until September 13, 2020

Roswell Bicycles - Sunday Shop Ride, 9AM

* The ride starts at 9:00am from October to April, 8:00am from May to September

Come ride with us on Sunday mornings at 8:00am sharp.  During the ride season, we ride a great 43-mile loop with plenty of beautiful back roads rambling through North Fulton and Cherokee counties. At the end of October, this ride will switch to a longer 50-55 miles route at a slower speed!.

Ride start / finish is in our bike shop parking lot (please park in the Andretti Indoor Karting & Games lot next to the shop)

This ride is for experienced cyclists, not recommended for beginners because of the hills and the 18+ mpg avg.  During the winter season this is a fairly relaxed ride so, come and try it out. It's a great route! However in the summer season this is a drop ride, although there are a couple of regroup points and a store stop.

Bike! Roswell Saturday Morning Ride

Saturday, March 03, 2018 8:00 am
Every Week until July 25, 2020

Bike Roswell! Saturday Morning Ride

This is a popular and informal, year-round group ride that rolls along 25 miles of the beautiful Roswell Mayors Ride route through Roswell, GA.  From A level riders to beginners, this ride has something for riders of all abilities. The main body of riders ride at a "C" level pacel, averaging 15-17mph.  However, after the ride starts, four main groups (A, B, C and D) develop so you can probably find a group to ride at your own pace level with.

This group rides all year around so be sure to check the Bike Roswell! event calendar for current rides and times.

Starting Saturday, Saturday, October 8, 2016, the Start/Finish location changes to the parking lot located between the park and Roswell North Elementary School Parking Lot (RIGHT NEXT DOOR), to Roswell Area Park. The address is 10517 Woodstock Road. Same ride, 7:30am start — changed parking lot.

Webb Bridge Ride

Saturday, March 03, 2018 8:00 am
Every Week until July 06, 2019

This ride begins from the Northpoint Church parking lot in Alpharetta.  See image below for the location within Northpoint where everyone must park.

The "A" group rides the same route each week, which is referred to as the Yellow Creek route.  Roll-out at 8:00am
Average: 21+ mph
Distance: 55 miles This is a DROP ride.  The pace is fast and the terrain is challenging.  There is one regroup point at the top of the Yellow Creek Rd. climb.

The B Group departs about 5 minutes after the A Group to prevent the two groups from getting mixed up.

The Mt. Tabor route provides a designated stop approximately an hour and a half into the ride.  There is a convenience store and facilities for using the bathroom.  This is approximately a 5 minute stop and also allows for slower riders to rejoin the group.  In addition to this designated stop there a couple of intersections where we stop briefly to allow riders to rejoin the group.  If new to the ride (no problem) it will be apparent where these re-group spots are.

The Sugar Pike route offers slightly more variety in terrain than the Mt Tabor route.  You should expect more rollers and sustained climbs.  The most memorable will be the climb on Eperson; which although short, is very steep.  Thankfully they regroup at the top providing everyone an opportunity to grab a bite to eat or just recover.
Currently they have a designated stop approximately 1.33 hours into the ride which provides an opportunity to use the bathroom and for the ride to regroup.  In keeping with their overall vision for the ride; they also provide for regrouping to occur at several intersections on the ride; generally after significant efforts.  If new to the ride just be alert to the queues provided by those who have been around for a while to know where these locations are.

The B Group ride is open to everyone.  Our goal is to have a safe, friendly and challenging ride for all.

·         We support those with mechanical problems and flats.
·         We do not use Aero Bars unless riding in the rear of the pack.
·         We do not use ear phones or ear plugs.
·         We obey traffic rules and try at all times to be courteous to motorist.
·         We always wear helmets.

Webb Bridge Ride

Saturday, March 17, 2018 8:00 am

Roswell Bicycles - Sunday Shop Ride

Sunday, March 18, 2018 9:00 am

Monday Night Ride - Larry's Winter Edition

Monday, March 19, 2018 6:30 pm
Every Week until This event does not repeat

Time:  6:30PM  (Arrive early to prep and for pre-ride briefing)
Start/Finish: Roswell Bicycles, 670 Houze Way, Roswell, GA 30076 (Park in Andretti's Indoor Karting & Games parking log)
Distance:  17 miles
Pace:  15-17mph (no drop)

Ride Type: This is a great No-Drop ride with a ride leader and ride sweeper.  It's 17 beautiful miles through roads surrounding Roswell Bicycles averaging 15-17 mph on fairly hilly terrain.  A good ride for a Monday, not too slow but isn't a strenuous ride either. This is what you're looking for after a hard weekend of riding, or to get yourself ready for some fast riding later on in the season.

NO RIDE IF RAINING

There are regrouping points throughout the ride.  This is a 17-mile no-drop ride.  If you feel the urge to hammer, drop people and crush your fellow riders on the climbs, then you may want to pick another ride in the Atlanta area.
