Christine (Chris) Grant takes 2nd overall female in the Georgia Multisports, PT Solutions Cartersville Duathlon on April 14, 2013. In her first race of the season on her new Specialized Shiv, Chris Grant finished with the fastest bike split of the women and in fact was only surpassed by 6 men in the race with faster bike splits. Chris was in 3rd place coming in from the first run (5k distance). She then took the lead and was the first female off the bike (17 mile distance). She was overtaken in the second run (5k distance), but held her strong position and finished the race as 2nd overall female.
