"The Bike Roswell Mayor's Ride meets several objectives for organizers - to raise awareness for Bike Roswell! and to introduce people to roads that are designated as 'bicycle friendly'," said City of Roswell Mayor, Jere Wood. "It's a great way to showcase what volunteers and the City are doing to make our roads safer. And it's a great way to kick off MAY - National Bike Month."

Bike Roswell! was established in 2004 to serve in an advisory capacity to citizens and local government on issues relating to bicycle recreation, transportation, and safety.  The group's mission is to actively promote safe cycling, provide an advocacy platform for Roswell citizens and implement programs to encourage participation in cycling with improved parks, roadways and private facilities.

Bike Roswell! helped the City of Roswell attain the designation "Bicycle Friendly Community Bronze Level" by The League of American Bicyclists becoming the first and only city in Georgia to achieve this coveted award.  Among over 19,000 cities in the USA, Roswell, GA is only one of 67 cities to achieved “Bicycle Friendly Community” status

The Roswell Mayor's Ride offers cyclists of all levels four ride options before the elite and professional races start at Noon for the Nalley Historic Roswell Criterium.  Routes of 6 miles, 21 miles, 42 miles, and 63 miles (a metric century) will be available with maps and full technical support.

Registration for the Roswell Mayor's Ride is $20 for each rider (Through May 2nd).  Late registration through May 2nd is available online or you can register the day of the ride for $25 from  7:00 – 8:00 a.m.
