Local Routes You Need to Know About

Wondering where to ride?  Here’s one of our  favorite routes in the Roswell/Alpharetta and North Georgia area.  Check back frequently and we’ll clue you in on where to ride.

3-Gap The Long Way

Sure, you can take the easy way out and do a straight up 3-Gap ride.  And that’s totally cool if your hall pass limits you to 2-2.5 hours.  But if you want to make the big gains, you need to ride 3-Gap the long way.  That’s right, you have to ride Hogpen.  Start out at the rock pile, head east and instead of making the left to ride up Neels Gap (Blood Mountain), make a right hand turn and head southeast towards the base of Hogpen.  Turn left on 75A and make the left onto the Richard Russell Scenic Hwy.  Ride Hogpen, Wolfpen and Woody’s and enjoy the downhill for the last 5 miles back to the car.  You can hit the new Chipotle near the Outlet Mall on the way home.  You’ll need it after a 54.5 miles, 6000 feet of climbing and approximately 4 hours in the saddle.
